By creating an account or making a purchase on 5cip.com, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms govern your use of the 5CIP platform and any forensic services purchased.
1. Acceptable use
The Service is licensed for lawful investigation, compliance, and recovery work. You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to harass, dox, or surveil individuals outside a documented legal investigation.
- Re-sell raw on-chain query output to third parties (data provider licenses prohibit this).
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our address-clustering heuristics or risk-scoring models.
- Submit case data on behalf of a sanctioned person or entity (OFAC, UN, EU consolidated lists).
2. Account responsibility
You are responsible for the secrecy of credentials and API keys issued to your account. Enable MFA. Notify [email protected] within 24 hours of any suspected compromise.
3. Fees and billing
Pricing is published at /pricing. Monthly subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled in /account. Case-pack purchases are one-off; unused cases remain valid for 12 months from purchase date. All amounts are in USD. Refunds are prorated within 7 days of purchase if no case has been opened.
4. Evidence integrity & limitations
5CIP reports are designed to assist counsel as evidentiary artifacts. We do NOT guarantee that a specific tracing result will be accepted in any particular jurisdiction's court. Confidence tiers (1A, 1B, 2, 3) accompany every claim and must not be omitted when reproducing our output. Customer is solely responsible for the legal interpretation of the evidence.
5. Intellectual property
5CIP and CipherJudge Forensic Engine, including all models, clustering heuristics, evidence packaging logic, and UI, are the exclusive property of CipherJudge. Customer retains ownership of case data submitted, and grants 5CIP a limited license to process that data to deliver the service.
6. Disclaimer of warranty
The Service is provided "AS IS" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. On-chain data sources (Etherscan, MistTrack, Arkham, etc.) may themselves be incomplete or stale; 5CIP cross-verifies but cannot certify third-party feeds.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, 5CIP's aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the amount Customer paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost recoveries.
8. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, Customer may export case data for 60 days; thereafter evidence artifacts are deleted per the Privacy Policy retention schedule, except where legal hold applies.
9. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Singapore under SIAC Rules, with the exception that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
